| Position Summary |
The Performance Sous Chef will assist the Head Performance Chef in executing the culinary nutrition program for the Georgia football team. The individual will need to be aware of the fueling needs of football athletes and have the ability to customize meals based on body composition goals, food allergies, and athletes’ preferences. They will be responsible for receiving goods, quality control, menu development and execution, and working meal action stations. Additionally, the employee will need to be knowledgeable in culinary terms, knife skills, and basic cooking techniques to lead cooking demonstrations for football athletes. Will assist in managing catering events, daily fueling, and weekly staff schedules.

- Knowledge of NCAA rules, regulations, policies, and services.
- Knowledge of nutritional principles as they relate to sport and athletic performance.
- Knowledge of Health and Food Safety Codes for food preparation, storage, and serving.
- Strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with athletes, staff, and coaches.
- Previous experience developing menus and working with different caterers. Menu modification and development. Meal planning to meet athletes’ goals.

| Physical Demands |
Lift, move, push, and pull equipment or boxes in excess of 40lbs. Will be working in outdoor temperatures for a reasonable period of time. Will move around campus, which includes gym, turf, fields, etc. Will also work flexible hours to include nights, weekends, and holidays. Driving as needed to perform job related duties.

Meal Execution and Cooking Demonstration:
Serve as performance sous chef in football facility
Aware of athletes training and physical demands to create menus to meet athletes nutritional needs.
Ensure food safety for all menus including but not limited to food allergies, expiration dates, temperature control, etc.
Recipe development to meet athletes taste preferences.
Teach football athletes culinary skills to ensure proper education of basic cooking.
Fill in for Head Performance Chef in planning and directing food preparation when necessary.
