Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field (preferred).
Minimum of five (5) to eight (8) years of sales experience in a related field. Experience in college and/or professional sports a plus.
Departmental Preferred Experience, Skills, Training/Education:
A demonstrated track record of outstanding sales achievement (both in growth and profit) is essential. Proven ability to renew and upsell existing clients as well as land new clients.
Exceptional sales skills and proven ability to pitch and close deals up to and beyond six figures.
Strong communication and negotiation skills.
Ability to build and maintain client relationships.
Proficiency in prospecting tools and industry research.
Excellent organizational and time management skills.
Familiarity with advertising and sponsorship trends in the sports industry.
Commitment to professional integrity and ethical conduct.
The Sr. Sales Executive for Charlotte Athletic Ventures will play a vital role in driving revenue growth by selling advertising, sponsorships, and other revenue-producing opportunities as defined by the President. This role involves identifying appropriate industry prospects, conducting thorough research on clients, and developing tailored sales strategies to meet their needs. The Sr. Sales Executive will be responsible for maintaining a robust pipeline of prospective clients and conducting regular sales calls to drive conversions. Additionally, the Sr. Sales Executive will assist in developing regional and non-traditional sales packages, fostering strong client relationships, and ensuring timely payments. This position requires a proactive approach to client engagement and the ability to deliver comprehensive year-end reviews of client

. This individual will also contribute to fostering positive employee relations and teamwork by adhering to company policies and procedures and complying with all relevant regulations and laws.
Key Responsibilities:
Sell advertising, sponsorships, and other revenue-producing opportunities as directed by the President.
Identify industry prospects using personal business networks, prospecting tools, and sports marketing media.
Conduct industry research on clients and develop needs analysis for potential investments.
Conduct a minimum of ten in-person/virtual sales calls per week with prospective clients.
Maintain an active and realistic pipeline of prospective clients.
Assist in developing regional and non-traditional sales packages.
Develop client relationships by closing sales and providing outstanding service.
Ensure timely payments by clients and conduct payment inquiry calls for past- due accounts.
Conduct proper outreach and engagement with clients throughout the year, with a minimum of five “engagements” annually, three of which do not involve soliciting funds.
Oversee the delivery of year-end reviews of client

Foster positive employee relations and teamwork by following company policies and procedures, communicating effectively with all units, and complying with regulations and laws.

If they average 30 or more hours per week over a designated measurement period, they will be offered the chance to enroll in the High Deductible Health Plan and will be notified of instructions.
