University Athletics - Athletic Equipment

Job Summary

 

The Student Assistant will support University Athletics as an Athletic Equipment Assistant on the Statesboro Campus beginning Spring 2026. 

_ Student employees cannot work more than 1300 hours in a 12-consecutive month period. _

Responsibilities

 

• Assists with receiving, inventorying, distributing, and retrieving all materials for staff and athletes as assigned by the Asst. Athletic Director & Assistant Equipment Manager(s)
• Throws & catches a football at 20 yards & a baseball or softball 60 feet
• Practices assignments that include working directly with a coach
• Assists with laundry
• Assists with the packing for team travel, setting up locker rooms & cleaning of equipment
• Possible travel with the team for road games (sonority based) 

Shift Specifics

• Up to 20 hours per week
• Flexible with schedule of availability

Required Qualifications

 

Educational Requirements

• Must be enrolled in six or more undergraduate credit hours or three or more graduate credit hours at Georgia Southern University.

Proposed Salary

 

$7.25 per hour

_ This is a non-exempt position paid on a biweekly basis. _
