University Athletics - Men's Football

Job Summary

The Temporary employee will support the University Athletics as a Football Strength and Conditioning Assistant on the Statesboro Campus.

Football Strength and Conditioning Assistant will support the daily functions of the strength and conditioning staff for the Georgia Southern University Football Program. This role is ideal for individuals seeking hands-on experience in collegiate athletics, strength operations, and team logistics.

_ This position will work from August 1, 2026 to December 31, 2026. _

_ Temporary employees are employed according to departmental need and the length of time will vary by workload and may not exceed 1300 hours worked in a 12-consecutive month period. _

Responsibilities

• Record and track athletes' body weights, ensuring accurate and timely entry into designated online systems
• Update and manage display content on TVs within the weight room and locker room
• Print, organize, and maintain daily and weekly workout recording sheets
• Assist with maintaining accurate records of athlete performance and training data
• Support daily lift sessions by assisting coaches and athletes as needed
• Set up and break down equipment for training sessions in the appropriate areas
• Ensure the cleanliness and organization of the weight room and locker room facilities

Shift Specifics

• 25 hours per week
• Flexible with schedule of availability

Required Qualifications

Educational Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent

Additional Required Qualifications

• Currently has or is pursuing a CSCS or CSCSa Certification

Proposed Salary

$6,000

_ This is an exempt position paid on a monthly basis. _
