Job Summary

The Athletics Department is seeking an individual to serve as a Temporary Sports Operation Assistant (Softball). The successful candidate will assist the Softball team in coordinating and preparing the team and recruiting travel and works in compliance with NCAA bylaws. 

Duties include:

• Coordinate with the Athletic Department Administration and serve as a liaison for the Softball team with various university units (housing compliance, and SAAC) on issues related to each respective area. 
• Works with Head Coaches and assistant coaches with the team and recruiting travel (including travel authorization requests, busses/vans, hotels, and food); game day operations for the teams at home (away, as needed) competitions. 
• Follows FIU procedures in handling all ordering of supplies.

• Follows FIU procedures in handling all ordering of supplies.
• Reviews, understands, and abides by all department procedures. 
• Maintains confidentiality for the department and all student matters.
• Treats with utmost confidentiality and sensitivity of any matter pertaining to academic and personal data of student athletes and any information either directly or indirectly impacting the University and/or Athletic Department. 
• Adheres to all State of Florida, University, NCAA, Conference USA, American Conference and department rules and policies pertaining to the position of Sports Operation Assistant (Softball).
• Report any known NCAA violations or concerns to the Director of Athletic Compliance. 
• Performs other related duties are required as directed. The omission of specific duties does not preclude the supervisor from assigning duties that logically relate to the position.

Minimum Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED and 2 years of experience; OR an equivalent combination of relevant education and/or experience.

$13.00 per hour.
