The Al Roderigues Assistant Coach, Men’s Volleyball, will assist the Birkhofer Family Men's Volleyball Head Coach with recruiting, coaching, and developing a championship-caliber team. The assistant coach is responsible for operating within the rules of the MPSF Conference and NCAA, as well as all institutional policies. This position is a one-year fixed-term role based on the Stanford University main campus.

Your responsibilities include:

• Assist with all aspects of game plan preparation, practice organization, and off-season training programs.
• Assist with identifying and recruiting top student-athletes to compete at Stanford within the context of applicable NCAA regulations and University admissions expectations.
• Knowledge of Volley Station and/or Data Project preferred.
• Assist with leadership and instruction in personal and athletic development of student-athletes, including overall team management in areas such as academic, disciplinary, and personal matters when appropriate.
• Participate in overall DAPER education and activities, such as regular coaches’ meetings and compliance education sessions.
• Participate in alumni relations, fundraising activities, and other program communication and relationship management as appropriate.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
Candidates must possess a bachelor’s degree and a minimum of three years of coaching experience. Collegiate or professional coaching experience, with Division I collegiate coaching experience strongly preferred.

• Ability to understand and comply with all rules and regulations of Stanford University, MPSF Conference, and NCAA.
• Computer literacy with common office applications, such as the Microsoft Office Suite
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work cooperatively with a variety of student-athletes, staff, and coaches in the Department of Athletics, the University, and the community.

The expected pay range for this position is $72,500-$75,000 per annum. Stanford University provides pay ranges representing its good faith estimate of the salary or hourly wage the university reasonably expects to pay for a position upon hire. The pay offered to a selected candidate will be determined based on factors such as (but not limited to) the scope and responsibilities of the position, the qualifications of the selected candidate, departmental budget availability, internal equity, geographic location, and external market pay for comparable jobs.
