The Al Roderigues Assistant Coach, Men’s Volleyball, will assist the Birkhofer Family Men's Volleyball Head Coach with recruiting, coaching, and developing a championship-caliber team. The assistant coach is responsible for operating within the rules of the MPSF Conference and NCAA, as well as all institutional policies. This position is a one-year fixed-term role based on the Stanford University main campus.

Your responsibilities include:

  • Assist with all aspects of game plan preparation, practice organization, and off-season training programs.
  • Assist with identifying and recruiting top student-athletes to compete at Stanford within the context of applicable NCAA regulations and University admissions expectations.
  • Knowledge of Volley Station and/or Data Project preferred.
  • Assist with leadership and instruction in personal and athletic development of student-athletes, including overall team management in areas such as academic, disciplinary, and personal matters when appropriate.
  • Participate in overall DAPER education and activities, such as regular coaches’ meetings and compliance education sessions.
  • Participate in alumni relations, fundraising activities, and other program communication and relationship management as appropriate.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
