Job Summary:
The SWOSU Women’s Basketball Graduate Assistant will assist the Head Women’s Basketball Coach in the day-to-day operations of the SWOSU Women’s Basketball Program. Responsibilities will include but are not limited to recruiting, assisting in practice, traveling, competition preparation, fundraising, study hall supervision, administrative duties, and working together with the head coach in all aspects of the program.
Description of Job Duties:
- Assist with coaching
- Recruiting a designated area
- Film breakdown and analysis
- Travel is required
- Other duties as assigned
Terms of Employment:
- Employment at will
- Reports to Women’s Basketball Head Coach
- Safety and job-related trainings will be completed as instructed
- Eligible to receive a tuition waiver each semester
- Graduate Assistant must maintain a minimum of 2.50 GPA and be enrolled in at least 5 hours of classes for the fall and spring semesters
- A Graduate Assistant should be working at a level higher than an undergraduate student employee. For example: teaching/instructing undergraduates in or out of the classroom as assigned, critiquing/grading undergraduate work/skills, etc.
