JOB TITLE:  

Men's Basketball Assistant

DEPARTMENT INFORMATION:  

Please provide information about the goals/services your area provides.  _ Assist Men’s Basketball coaches, staff, and players with daily practice and duties as well as assist with game day duties. _

What type of clients are served in your department (education majors, all students, faculty, staff)?  _ Student Athletes and Coaches _

Does your department/area provide community services with the goal to improve the quality of life for community residents or to solve a particular problem related to those residents’ needs? _ Yes. Community outreach through sponsored events such as Freedom Has a Birthday and food drives.  _

Job location: Fieldhouse North and Arena Auditorium

Pay rate or range: $9.00/Hour

JOB PURPOSE:  

Assist Men’s Basketball coaches, staff, and players with daily practice and duties as well as assist with game day duties.

  ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Assist coaches and staff with duties as assigned, generally assisting with practice, game day duties and occasional team travel

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Education : Enrolled as a University of Wyoming Student
Other requirements: Must be eligible, have received and accepted work study award through Student Financial Aid for the applicable semester and/or academic year.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:  

• Ability to work in a team setting
• Organizational skills
• Ability to listen and follow directions

EDUCATIONAL BENEFITS APPLICABLE TO CAREERS:

Organization, communication, delegating, problem solving, time management, listening, and taking direction, team work.  Majors Most-Related to Position:  Kinesiology & Health Sciences.

On-Campus : This position provides vital support to campus customers, and the successful candidate must be available to work and perform essential job functions on campus, understanding our location is at 7,220 feet above sea level.
